A Farewell to Monday Morning Gossip

Today is the last day of Monday Morning Gossip. Kimberlee and I are sad to end the linkup, but it's time. It's been a great four years; however, at my current stage in life, I can't continue to give MMG the attention it deserves. My main goal with this blog hop was to create a place to mingle and make friends. I'm pretty proud that MMG provided just that - I've met so many amazing bloggers and am super grateful. But on the other hand, right now I'm not able to visit all of your blogs and that isn't fair to you.

Today is bittersweet. I'm sad to say goodbye, but happy how Monday Morning Gossip has played out. A huge thanks to Kimberlee for being the best co-host I could ask for! She's helped make this link up what it is today.

In the upcoming weeks I'll be working to get into a better blogging routine. I have some fun things on deck including my 8-year blogiversary, red carpet coverage of the Golden Globes (I'll be there with the stars!), and hopefully news of a new apartment if I finally get around to moving. Thank you all for sticking with me. I look forward to catching up with you all!

Did you hear the big news? Weekend Update is no more. But don't fret because in it's place I have a brand new linkup called Monday Morning Gossip! Weekend Update was my baby and I adored it but I am really excited for this new adventure. Guest Post: Birthday Weekends by I Have A Degree In This!

I'm currently in NOLA right now (either on a huge high or low depending on how the Saints game played out). But the Monday Morning Gossip show goes on either way! Today one of my oldest blogging buds, Kimberlee of I Have A Degree in This, is hosting. Take it away Kim!

Thanks Leeann! Happy to take over today for Monday Morning Gossip. This weekend I headed to Jersey to celebrate my parent's birthday. It was filled with plenty of backyard activities including an intense wiffle ball tournament. It's always good to go home for some delicious homemade food and for some R&R away from the city.

Sunday night I tuned into the 65th Primetime Emmys. Neil Patrick Harris did a good job hosting. I loved the opening monologue. This year they did more in depth tributes some actors along with the typical In Memoriam section. It was such at tear jerker to hear from their fellow friends/co-stars about the person they really were besides the character they played. But onto happier topics... Breaking Bad won Best Drama! I need to catch up on last night's episode so no spoilers please!

Giveaway! Celebrating My 6th Blogiversary + 1,000th Post!!

It's a celebration here today! In addition to Monday Morning Gossip, I'm also celebrating my six-year blogiversary (which was actually Dec. 29) AND this is my 1,000th post. Triple yay!!! Obviously that means it's time for a giveaway. Here's what I've got for ya...

J.Crew Factory Clearance Sale

Welcome to another edition of Monday Morning Gossip! I hope the weekend treated you well. Mine was nice and boring. I legit stayed in my pjs and didn't leave the house from Friday night until today. It was perfect.

In between catching up on my DVR and football on Sunday, I came across a J.Crew Factory clearance sale. Get an additional 40% of clearance items. Yes, please. Honestly, I don't ever shop at J.Crew. I just go straight to the Factory. They always have great deals and I'm all about saving a buck. The jewelry deals are especially awesome. You can score some great steals so be sure to check out that section!

2013 Highlights

Due to the holidays, this is the last Monday Morning Gossip of the year. The linkup will resume January 6. Mark your calendars so you can be sure to link up for the first MMG of 2014!

2013 was pretty shitty. It def ranks up there with one of my least favorite years ever. It was one thing after another every month. In fact, I've been out of commission (hurt myself at bootcamp) since Thursday and have been in bed all weekend. BUT, that being said, there were also rays of sunshine that I am so lucky to have experienced! Here are my top five highlights of 2013 in no particular order...

New Orleans

Father-daughter trip to NOLA to see my beloved Saints play in the Superdome. It was epic!

30th Birthday

Celebrated at a Hollywood speakeasy with my closest friends and family + a trip to Sin City.

Seattle

Christina graciously hosted me for several days of exploration and serious Emerald City fun.

Justin Timberlake

Not one, but TWO, JT concerts with Kate! One of which was in Vegas.

Friends

I cut some bad ones, re-connected with old ones, and appreciated the best ones.

Traveling to New Orleans

Before I jump into NOLA I wanted to apologize again for being so MIA. If by chance you don't know my situation, the deets are that I'm commuting five hours daily for my new job. I literally have about two spare hours a day and have been using that time to eat and prep for the next day. I've also been staying at hotels to eliminate my drive once or twice a week. As a result I haven't visited blogs or posted much. I'll probably just stick to Monday Morning Gossip posts until I can catch up - on life in general. Please bear with me. I'M SUPER SORRY!

I'm not currently at work, but instead in New Orleans to see the Saints play a home game. Second year in a row! I've been to the city twice (I think I've seen and done all of the major things) and I'm not doing the planning on this trip so I'm not exactly sure what's on the agenda. I'm sure I'll find something fun to see. I'm a big explorer when I travel. Here's a look back at my last two trips to NOLA.
