Christina Applegate graces the latest cover of "Us Weekly" and the headlines are pretty shocking. The "Samantha Who?" star has been diagnosed with breast cancer. No stranger to the disease, which her mom experienced when Applegate was a small child, some of her closest friends explain that she is prepared to fight it with all she's got.
According to Lance Bass, "She is doing amazing and can fight any challenge life throws at her."
Personally, I love Applegate. I thought she was hilarious in "The Sweetest Thing." I admit I haven't seen her (relatively) new show, but I have been wanting to catch it.

That is incredibly sad. I loved her in "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead." That was my first time being exposed to the fashion industry and seeing a runway show...I thought her character was soooo cool. Remember her bro, "The dishes are done, man!" ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah I remember that movie! She got to go to the cool party with the ice sculpture! But her boyfriend was dorky haha!
ReplyDeleteaww this is so sadenening and scary too since my mom had it. :/ i hope she pulls thru
ReplyDeleteThat very bad. Now all she can use is her will power to fight cancer.I know to say is easy but it rattles your bone when experienced.
ReplyDeletelove the blog's fab new makeover!
ReplyDeletehow heart wrenching is it to have your mom go thru such a thing, only for it to happen to you. my heart and prayers go out to her and her fam.
Oh it's so sad to hear another girl is down with cancer. I hope she will overcome it in the end.
ReplyDeleteWord to all girls out there, take care of your health and go for regular mammograms and paps just to be on the safe side :)
"Down" with cancer makes it sound like a head cold. Besides, having met her and hung out with her I can say that she's not a victim. Her mom had it twice and recovered. She's a positive person and they caught it early because she is a pro-active gal.
ReplyDeleteShe really IS that nice in person.
It's not a death sentence. I am a cancer survivor. Early detection is the best defense along with proper treatment and a positive attitude!
:)
I second that we must all be sure to have mammograms and paps every year according to our age group.
Anonymous, thanks for the comment. I actually don't think that the commentor who used the word "down," meant anything negative ;) Some readers are from different countries and may not word things the same way as we do here in the U.S. I think we all know someone who has cancer, therefore we all know how it feels to be effected. Great tips ladies on early prevention. Thanks to all who left their thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI like her as well and that's so sad... but i'm sure she will be okday :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for defending me, chica :)
