The Beauty of Fall

Halloween and Fall are my favorite times of the year. I have always been drawn to the spooky…even though I am a scardey cat! Haunted locations, horror movies, falling leaves—I love it all.

Unfortunately, I live in Southern California so I don’t get to experience the New England supernatural, which by the way is my ideal of Halloween/Fall. Here, our leaves don’t really change (in fact we don’t have many trees to even allow for a color change), our history is fairly new, and most people don’t partake in the Halloween spirit. It’s really quite sad.

I especially enjoy reading blogs that allow me to live vicariously through them. My favorite is New England Girl. In addition to being a totally sweet blogger, she has the best stories and awesome pictures to illustrate life on the East Coast. You seriously need to check out this blog.

I also recently came across another cool blog, New England Love. This is another fantastic place to see beautiful Fall colors and photographs of historical locations.

Do any of you know of any New England/East Coast blogs?

I decided since I cannot see Fall in real life yet (I am making it my mission to get to the East Coast next year though!), I would browse the web for some photos. Here are some that I particularly adored:

Please not that none of these images are mine. If any belong to you and you would like me to remove a photo, please let me know and I will do so immediately. Thanks!

The pic of the road looks just like when we drove through Vermont a couple of years ago! You really need to go in October! It is beautiful!

Love that last pumpkin LOL! I would send you pics of my yar. But we've had so much wind and rain, most of the leaves are all gone now.

Ooh, I don't know of any East Coast/New England blogs myself - but I am off to visit the one you mentioned here. I can't resist fall and the changing colors - sadly, we don't really get that in Southern California; thus, it is essential to live vicariously through those who do!

Will keep you updated if I find any New England/East Coast blogs of note. Happy Halloween, darling! :)

Awwww! THANK YOU for such a sweet mention!! You're the best. :) And thank you for appreciating my little itty bitty blog... I am glad at least one person likes my crazy ramblings and bazillion photos. :) I hope you get to experience a New England fall/Halloween at least once [if not more than that!]. It really is truly magical... and one of a kind! :)

We unfortunately didn't get to Salem last night, so I won't have any photos this week. :( Mr. J was sick and I didn't want to drag him all that way when he wasn't feeling well. I think we're going next Sunday; so, although it may be late, we'll still get to experience it around Halloween. :)

Hope you're enjoying your day! Happy Haunting. :)
