Has Spring Sprung?

This past week Southern California has been experiencing warm weather. And by warm I mean in the 80s! We are known to have radically changing temps from week to week--even day to day--and that's certainly the case now.

Just last week it was raining and it's going to start again tonight or tomorrow. This year we are expected to have rain off and on for a few months. That's significant for us because we are basically a desert that's always in a drought.

But between the rainstorms, we get beautiful sun and warmth. If LA weather was a person, you'd describe it as bipolar!

Although I am a bit sad that our winter was short lived, you can't complain with 86 degrees when the East Coast is getting pounded with snow. So I am grateful. I am also grateful for the gorgeous flowers in blossom. Of course I had to get a few pictures, luckily my iPhone takes amazing photos. Here are some snapshots I took during my lunch break a few days ago:

I am so jealous! I want to hop on a plane and fly there now :-) It's 45 here today which is cold but much better then the 30 degrees and lower we were experiencing for quite some time!

86? WOW! I'm in Tampa and it's not that warm...but it IS perfect spring weather in the 70s. I just hope it lasts!

It must be nice to have such warm weather! I live in New England so we get a lot of snow, although this winter has been more mild than usual.
You have a cute blog! Hope you'll check out mine at http://jennysopencloset.blogspot.com/

I too have been loving the Spring like weather we've been having. It's tough when there's a little boy itching to play outside and he can't because it's raining. Much more options to chose from on sunny days. Love the flowers too!

Oh, you are so right about California weather - it is TRULY bipolar. Personally, I wish we would get a smidgen of snow - just to make it feel like winter!! :)

It's gross and rainy in NYC, naturally, but these pics added a little brightness to my day! I can't wait for spring...only two more months to go, eek! (Fingers crossed for no snow in April :/)

Beautiful photos and I cannot believe that you took them with your iPhone!

Being pounded with the most snow in Philadelphia history, I am definitely ready for spring.
