LA has about a bazillion food trucks. Literally, there are trucks for just about everything you can think of from grilled cheese sandwiches to red velvet pancakes. And with truck names like The Greasy Wiener and The Shrimp Pimp, how can they not be popular?
My favorite Hollywood bakery, Frosted Cupcakery, hosts Food Tuck Thursdays which is held weekly. They invite a food truck to set up shop in their parking lot, allowing customers to try new food trucks and get amazing cupcakes. Um, hello perfect lunch!
Shrimp Toastie
Veggie Quesadilla
My co-worker ordered a (pork?) sandwich
If you live in the LA area and Global Soul is coming to your hood, I recommend you check them out. In addition to the tasty food, the ladies who own the truck are super nice! You can check out their schedule on Twitter and Facebook.
as soon as i can eat again i want to get to this truck!! oh maaaan the stuff looks good.
ReplyDeleteGirl you know I love a food truck! What a smart combo by that Cupcake place!
ReplyDeleteI love Global Soul! Their flavor is so fresh and healthy-ish! I also love Frosted cupcakes...yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! That sounds so cool and the Shrimp Toastie looks absolutely delicious and so fresh. It must be fun to try all of those different things. The Frosted Cupcakery sounds yummy too!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so yummy! I wish Birmingham had more food truck selections but all we have is a cupcake truck and a mexican food truck!
ReplyDeleteThe shrimp looks fantastic. They are starting to allow more mobile food venues in Chicago too. The only one I see regularly is Flirty Cupcakes. And I so don't need to eat cupcakes. But I'm weak. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteI have never lived in a place that has food trucks. But that cupcake place had a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteYum!! I want to eat all of it right now!!
ReplyDeleteI have never eaten from a food truck. I watched the amazing food truck race and have seen them when I've visited New York, but I haven't eaten at one. I want to so badly! I wish we had one (or more) in Tampa...
ReplyDeleteOMG! all that looks so freakin' good!
ReplyDeleteExtremely hungry after reading and staring at this post. I wish I could go to Global Soul! :)
ReplyDeleteshrimp toastie and veggie quesadilla looks great! so as the pork stuff, but i don't eat pork.
ReplyDeletemy hubz is obsessed with the taco trucks here in the ghetto...he says it is the only place to get authentic mexican food.
