I love 4th of July! Not only because it feels like the official start of summer but because I am a proud American - thankful for all of the liberties we have as a result of the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for us. One of my degrees is in American Studies and I actually read historical books for fun. Yup, you read that right.
I honestly think that I am meant to live in New England and I would move there in a heartbeat...if only it didn't snow. What can I say? I'm spoiled living in sunny Southern California. I can't imagine anything more American than being in Cape Cod this weekend. To all of you NE'ers, I'm jealous. Send me pictures :)
This week, my Fashion Friday link up is an ode to the red, white, and blue!
If you are an American, what do you love most about the 4th of July and how are you celebrating? No matter what you do, have a fun, safe weekend!
Be sure to head on over to Kori's blog, Blonde Episodes, and link up for Fashion Friday!
I've decided to skip Man Candy Monday this week and let this post run through Monday. Sometimes men just gotta take a backseat to patriotism ;) The next MCM post will be on July, 11 if you'd like to play along!

I hope you had a very Happy 4th and these pictures were perfect for the occasion. I'm kind of obsessed with that red, white & blue mani. I think I'd get bows instead of hearts.
