Yup, I'm making this a triple threat post! Fest your eyes on these horror movie hotties!

A Glam Halloween Costume

Today's Fashion Friday / Friday's Fancies is Halloween themed! If I were able to dress up as anything and have no budget to worry about, I think a princess costume would be the way to go. I mean, who didn't want to be a princess at one time in their life?

And Seriously, check out this INCREDIBLE dress. Pretty sure if I owned that beauty I'd wear it daily.
Pretty Princess

Since this costume is dripping with diamonds, the sparking beauties are on my mind. I'm excited to be ordering an item from Kranichs real soon. They are a site that reached out to me and they have lots of beautiful items such as princess cut diamond engagement rings (to go with the above theme ;) and pearls.

What would your dream costume be? And what is your costume this year? Because I've been so sick there was no way I could go buy a costume so I'll be recycling two looks: Snooki and a flapper...separately, of course. Not Snooki as a flapper ;)

Nashville, Round 2

And my Tennessee tale continues...

Tailgating! Woo hoo! I wanted so badly to get the real college football tailgating experience and I sure did. Saturday morning we headed to Knoxville to catch a University of Tennessee game with my friend Stephanie's boyfriend and his friends. On this day I got to fully understand the meaning of southern hospitality. These people were so genuinely nice and welcoming that I was in awe. Hugs, drinks, and food were immediately offered to me and I felt like I was a part of their group instantly. Although UT lost to LSU, it was awesome to see be there.

Sunday we woke up early to stop by a Waffle House (my first time!) so I could have some hash browns covered, smothered, and capped - which means they were made with onions, cheese, and mushrooms. Yum! And can I pause for a second to mention that all of the food in Tennessee is cheap? You can get a legitimate meal for well under $10. Amazing.

Because I was so sick, and managed to get poor Steph sick as well, we headed back to Nashville and lounged for the rest of the day. Originally we were going to go to Gatlinberg to see the Smokey Mountains and Dollywood, but we were so exhausted we skipped it and rested up for a tour that night.

I highly recommend the Nashville Ghost Tour to anyone in the area. It's held year-round and so much fun! It's a great way to learn about Nashville history, see cool places, and gather for scary stories. From the state capital building, to Printer's Alley, to the Ryman, we walked all over Downtown Nashville and had a blast! It was the perfect end to my Tennessee trip.

Halloween Haunts

I've been wanting to pin everything Halloween related since about September 1 but I've refrained. Sadly, due to my vacation and being sick I haven't even enjoyed that amazingness that it Halloween this year. No pumpkin patches, haunted houses, or even costume buying. Boo!

Now that my favorite holiday is just a few days away, I think it's appropriate to bust out the orange and black!

My Nashville Recap

My trip to Tennessee was amazing/disastrous at the same time. I got to do and see so many things that I am still in awe of; however, the night I landed I got sick and still remain sick today. Worst cold ever! Let's focus on the wonderful aspects though.

My great friend Stephanie recently moved to Nashville and welcomed me with open arms to experience her new city. And because Steph is the best, I got to take it all in first class style. Here's a breakdown of how the first two days of the trip went:

Thursday
Breakfast at Arnold's - an unassuming Nashville staple featuring meat and 3. Great, country food.

After breakfast I headed to Franklin, a suburb, with one of Steph's best friends, Cassie. Franklin is the quintessential small town with a historic town square that we spent lots of time exploring antique shops. I even picked up a cute antique key charm that I plan on finding a necklace chain for.

Fun fact: Justin Bieber recently filmed a Christmas music video in Franklin.

Thursday night we headed to the Americana Music Awards at the famous Ryman Auditorium. It was my first awards show and way cool to be in the presence of so many talented people - some of which included Robert Plant, The Avett Brothers, and the Civil Wars. And at such a respected venue that's housed countless talented acts. To end the night we grabbed some food and drinks at a fun bar with friends.

Friday
I did more in this day than I have ever done in my entire life! Before anything I got myself some biscuits and gravy and savored every minute of the meal. First real stop of the day, The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's home and burial place. I have an American Studies degree so I eat this kind of stuff up. Next was Belle Meade Plantation, an incredible estate that was home to the most successful horse breeding/racing family in American history. Every major race horse that you have ever heard of descends from the horses that were once at Belle Meade. There's even a winery on the estate so I indulged in some really tasty vino.

After the tourist events we cleaned up and prepared for the most exciting part of my trip - a night at the Grand Ole Opry. Because Stephanie is ahmaaaazing and has a kick ass job, she got us backstage passes so we got to take in the concerts on stage. Yup, we were those cool people. The reason we were there was to see Josh Turner and he did not disappoint. He has a fantastic voice, is HOT, and super nice. After he performed we went to his dressing room and I got a picture with Josh.

No night in Nashville is complete without hitting up the honky tonks on Lower Broadway. Door to door bars, live music, dancing, and a great time. Because I was so sick, we only hung out for a few hours and in that time I partook in my first whiskey shots (I'm more of a clear alcohol kinda gal) and managed to lose my driver's license. Nice way to end the night right? :(

Sorry for such a long recap, I actually tried keeping it short. And please excuse the pictures - I know i look like death.

Come back Thursday to hear about the rest of my trip!

Man Candy Monday: Josh Turner

Today's Man Candy Monday is inspired by my trip to Nashville last week. I was fortunate enough to meet country music singer, Josh Turner, and can testify that he's even more attractive in person. Plus he's a family oriented man which makes him that much more awesome! Backstage at the Grand Ole Opry I witnessed him hanging out with his wife and three sons before going on. It was pretty awesome. From what I understand, he's a good Christian man. That's refreshing since it's usually all about sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Or at least the stereotype is that.

Check out those eyes...and that smile!

Think Pink!

Hello, friends! I'm back from my trip to Tennessee. Unfortunately, the night I landed in Nashville I got sick and I am still dealing with a nasty cold over a week later. Next Tuesday I'll have a recap. Until then, let's talk fashion.

Today it's all about thinking pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I work for an event planning company that produces fundraising events that raise money for cancer care and research. Every day I am touched by the dedication people have to conquering cancer.

In honor of this special month dedicated to pink, I put together an outfit comprised of items I found on NET-A-PORTER and I'm kinda loving it. Pretty sure the Kershaw Jimmy Choos below are the most beautiful pumps I have ever seen.
