Labor Day in Vegas

Welcome to the special Tuesday edition of Weekend Update! My co-hosts, Dana of five30three and Sami of Sami's Shenanigans, and I hope that the extra day off (for most of you in the US) was an enjoyable one!

For me, it was a perfect weekend in Vegas. Saturday I headed to Sin City with Kathrin of Shop.School.Sleep. and a group for her sister's 21st birthday. Living in Southern California, the drive is only about 4 hours (from the LA/Orange County area) so Vegas is the ideal destination once you hit legal drinking and gambling age. And boy does that city sparkle...




Activities included taking in the warm weather and beautiful skies.


Dining at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill and the popular Wicked Spoon Buffet.


And a night at Pure where this non-dancer may have had hit the dance floor after several cocktails.
 


Last Friday I posted this green H&M sequin dress that I fell in love with. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in store. But I did find a cute sequin skirt that worked as a great substitute. Here's my outfit that I wore to the club.

    Looove the sparkly skirt like, times a million! My husband would be jealous - I think Vegas is his favorite place in the entire world - we're taking a trip out there in January. How was the Wicked Spoon?

    Gurrrrrl! That is such a fun weekend...any time you get to party it up with the girlfriends and be in a fun city like Vegas is always one for the record books! And I love your hair, totally not brave enough (and let's face it, it would look a little silly on a mommy like me!) but you are rockin' it!

    Your weekend was basically the opposite of mine--I was up in rural West Sonoma County housesitting for 19 chickens! hahahaha. Looks like your trip to Vegas was a blast, and I love your outfit!
