I live right smack in the middle of the city, in Hollywood. So there's really no excuse that I don't explore more. Since I'm contemplating a move out of the city, here is my buck list for LA. I've never ever...
Walked Rodeo Drive even though I live 15 minutes away.

Had a drink at the Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont even though it's a $5 cab ride away.
via
Hiked up to the Hollywood Sign even though I can see it from my neighborhood.
via
Went wine tasting in Malibu even though it's less than an hour away and beautiful (from what I hear).
Frolicked on the Santa Monica beach even though I've been to the pier many a times.

Pretty sad, huh? I think it's about time I start working my way through this list!

A great list! I went to Rodeo Drive when I visited LA a few months back and was SO impressed!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t That Charming.

ReplyDeleteI have walked Rodeo Drive, but never SHOPPED Rodeo Drive ;)
ReplyDeletegirrrrrrrrrrl I've done two of those things (rodeo drive & santa monica beach) and I live across the country! You better get to checking these things off your list, or I'll come out there and do it for you ;)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your list! I would love to go wine tasting in Malibu and frolicking on the beach. You need to change these things! :) I'm here from the link up by the way!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great list, I've been trying to be more of a tourist here in San Diego. I'd actually love to try everything on your list.
ReplyDeleteLove it. It's amazing how you can live so close to someplace and yet never go. Good for you for exploring more.

You should totally start checking some things off that lists. Especially if you are thinking of moving further away. Never know when else you may have the chance!
ReplyDeleteI'd come visit you in Cali with the main goal of helping you knock some of these things off your list.. Just sayin' :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny the things that we don't take advantage of even though they're right in the area! Great post, and something that I can think about with the city!
It's so true. Most of us never explore our own backyards. Last year, we had a staycation for that exact reason. Coming by from the Never Ever link up. I'm at http://juliedeneen.com
ReplyDeleteIve done 2 things on your list! I love Santa Monica :)
ReplyDeleteI have done a couple things on your list and I live in Texas :)) You better get on that or this Texas girl is going to have to come drag you out into your own neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteLove your list! I have lived in LA my entire life and there are so many things I haven't done either that my out of state friends have done, so sad. Rodeo "shopping" is fun, grab a coffee and people watch is a must!

ReplyDeleteI once tried to go to the bar at Chateau Marmont and I couldn't figure out how to get into the hotel. I was to embarrassed to ask the valet guys outside how to get in. FAIL!
ReplyDeleteI've never hiked up to the Hollywood sign either. Tried to drive up in high school but it was closed and we got stuck!
You should definitely get these things done! I really want to hike up to the Hollywood sign (and I don't even live in L.A.)

ReplyDeleteI am Mariam used every single spell worker on the internet, spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes...i was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In the end, I decided that I wanted a tarot reading to know what my future held for me; I contacted a woman who lives locally to me and she told me about a man named (Priests Abija); he does not advertise on the internet, has another job for income, has no set prices, makes no false promises and refuses to help anyone that cannot be helped and even helps
ReplyDeletefor free sometimes, he will give you proof before taking money. He is a wonderful man and he was the only person who actually gave me real results. I really hope he doesn't mind me advertising his contact on the internet but I'm sure any help/ extra work will benefit him.contact him here as +447053820826 or spirituallighthealing101@live.com He travel sometimes.i cant give out his number cos he told me he don’t want to be disturbed by many people across the world..he said his email is okay and he’ will replied to any emails asap, love marriage, finance, job promotion ,lottery Voodoo, poker voodoo, golf Voodoo,Law & Court case Spells, money voodoo, weigh loss voodoo, any sicknesses voodoo,Trouble in marriage,HIV AIDS,it's all he does Hope this helps everyone that is in a desperate situation as I once was; I know how it feels to hold onto something and never have a chance to move on because of the false promises and then to feel trapped in wanting something
more.
What?! I've walked Rodeo and Santa Monica beach and I've only been to LA three times. Haha! I get it though. There's so much in Seattle I haven't done. It's fun to be a tourist in your own town though.
ReplyDeleteWow I am so inspired! Weirdly, I have done everything on your hometown bucket list (San Diego girl here) and I'm just about to go make one for my brand new hometown of Stockholm, Sweden and I guess it's only fair if you come do it, right?!
ReplyDeleteSanta Monica is so much fun! I love that part of LA.
