Another beautiful weekend in Southern California. It's one thing to have 80 degree temps, but another for our flowers and trees to be in full bloom. It's like our little section of the country didn't get the memo that it's winter!
Aside from enjoying the pretty spring-like conditions, I also celebrated a friend's birthday Saturday.
It was great seeing my friends and catching up...until the bar lost my credit card. I tried ordering a drink but they couldn't locate my card. After an hour of them "looking" for it I asked for a status update and one of the bouncers came up to get the story. As I start to explain, another bouncer came over and asked what happened. When I started to tell them, the second bouncer put his hand in my face and said "Shut up, I'm not talking to you!" SERIOUSLY?! After another 45 minutes and yet another bouncer finally found my card. All good? Nope. He then told me I had to buy more drinks because I wasn't at the $10 minimum to use my credit card. So pissed! I tried buying another drink almost two hours earlier but they lost my card! I was not giving them any more of my money and demanded to speak to someone in charge and eventually the owner heard my story and comped my huge $8.50 bill.
Most ridiculous experiencer ever. It's one thing to lose my card, but another to disrespect me in the degrading way I was. And I was sober which the staff commented on (don't let the double fisting above fol you, I'm convinced there was zero alcohol in my drinks) so it's not like I gave them any reason to treat me poorly.
I know only a few of my readers live near me but for the sake of spreading a bad review online, I want to specifically call out the establishment. Do not go to Margarita Rocks in Upland, Ca. Complete shithole.
Even after that drama Saturday I did have a great weekend. I hope you all did as well!

Wow, that is crazy that they lost your card and then treated you poorly in the process. Glad it was found and returned.

ReplyDeleteI CANNOT believe they were that rude to you! It was their fault! What happened to the customer is always right? Glad they found your card and that you called them out!
ReplyDeleteThat is just ridiculous! They lost your card and then acted that poorly. They obviously need new management!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that spring weather! We usually have it here in the south but this whole polar vortex business is getting us!
ReplyDeleteThat is so messed up!!! I would have been so angry!! Glad they found your card!! Enjoy that weather!! While it's in the 40's today (that is a heat wave), it's going back to the teens tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBest, Mree
We haven't had a winter either. It's not 80, but 55 is really, really warm for us in January! And we haven't had any rain. We have zero snow at the ski resorts and we're going to have major droughts and probably a lot of fires this summer. Sad!
ReplyDeleteSuch a crappy time at the bar! I'm glad you stood up for yourself and took care of it!
Wow, I can't believe you were treated in that manner-- who the f did that guy think he was? Sorry dude, you work at a crap bar in Upland. Doesn't look like they have very good reviews on Yelp either :/
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get your card back and get your drink comped!
It rained last night!! it ust have in Fullerton cuz the ground was wet this morning walking to my car. so there winter weather hahaha...sorry about the bar and get on yelp and all those other sites and give them 0 ratings!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they treated you so horribly!!! I'm sorry you had to go through that!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous you have 80 degree weather there! Boo for bad service!!

Always Maylee
Boo to that crappy bar experience! But really, I'm just uber jealous of your warm weather.
ReplyDeleteI can't your experience at that bar! Customer service is clearly not at the top of their list! Glad you still had a decent weekend though!
ReplyDeleteThat bar story is absolutely ridiculous! I love when I'm stone sober and the staff assumes they can pull one over since usually all the clientele are drunk. Good for you for holding your ground!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks a lot for rubbing in your beautiful weather!
Haha this is such a sad story its almost funny! if you were drunk anyways :) def spreading this to my friends near there
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of douchebags! And I don't mean the flowers. Lol
ReplyDeleteWOW! What crappy treatment! Won't go there!
