I've never been on a cruise and I'm a little freaked out to be floating in the middle of the damn ocean. I'm pretty sure I won't get seasick, I'm more nervous that the boat will sink. Clearly I don't know how to prioritize my fears.
The cruise is a 7-day trip with following stops:
Nassau, The Bahamas
St. Thomas, USVI
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Grand Turk
While I've been to the Caribbean twice, I've never been to these locations. Have you? I'd LOVE tips so please send them my way. I really want to make the most out of each stop!

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you got laid off but girl! Go you for doing something fun and positive. You will love it and I don't think your boat will sink! It will be grand.
My husband and I went to San JUan, PR last March for our honeymoon and we loved it. It's so colorful and vibrant there.
Oh that sucks! Not the trip, the trip looks amazing! But the job bit.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fab time and find a new job the moment you get back. Who wouldn't want to hire you?
Sucks about being laid off, but kudos to you for stepping up & doing something awesome for yourself!! I'm nervous about cruises too... but I'm almost positive your ship won't sink! ;) When do you leave?
ReplyDeleteI think a cruise is the perfect way to fight off the blues! I've been to a few of those places. My favorite thing to do at St. Thomas is some kind of water excursion. Catamaran with snorkeling, or the beach. Magens bay is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to!! We have been on 5 cruises, and none of our ships have sunk ;) Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know that when I read the title of this post I sang Styx, Come Sail Away in my head. "Iiiii'm saaaailiiiing awaaaayyyy!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer about the job, but thrilled for you to be doing something positive! I'm sure you'll come back with a new perspective + a great tan :-) I haven't been to these places yet, but they are on my list!
ReplyDeleteDo the Underwater Snorkeling Trail and go to Magen's Bay!
ReplyDeleteoh man, you're going to have SO much fun. the perfect way to fight unemployment blues!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on a cruise, but i hope you have an amazing time! Spend as much time as you can enjoying each moment.
ReplyDeleteBummer about work, but I think travel is just the cure! Have fun and don't worry you'll land something fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous - you are going to have the best time! Edwin's whole family is in Puerto Rico, so I have a feeling we will eventually be taking a trip there.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, you better live it up, girl.
Cruise sounds wonderful, I've never been so won't be of much help, but looks like it will be a beautiful time. If it helps you feel any better those are both of my fears of cruises in that order haha
ReplyDeleteNow that is how you do unemployment! I'm usually not a fan of cruises, but it looks like you're cruising to beautiful places!

I am so freaking excited and jealous you are going. You will have a blast and will have to tell us all about it. :)

Have a fabulous time! I did a Virgin Island cruise with my family which was beautiful. I'm sure you'll have a great time :)
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have so much fun! I've been on two cruises and was worried about seasickness, but it's not that bad. I bought those bracelets and took Dramamine every day and was just fine. The news lately isn't showing cruises in a very good light, but I still love them and would totally go again! Don't get sick or sink! ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how much time you'll have in PR but we are going to the Bacardi Factory and visiting the old fort. I know we've got a lot more planned because we'll be there for five days. Get ahold of me girl!
ReplyDeleteGetting laid off is never fun, or at least it wasn't for me since I was on vacation when they did it to me. Anyway, I've never been on a cruise either and just booked my first. Excitement and nervousness are running through my blood!
