I love me some Los Angeles Kings hockey...and they're going to the Stanley Cup Finals!!! This post-season has been so exciting! A first-round reverse sweep, an intense second round, and a third round roller coaster. Last night's Game 7 OT game was so stressful but they pulled out the win. Whew!
Rewind to Friday, when my dad won a ticket raffle at work and we got to go to Game 6. KINGS PLAYOFF HOCKEY?! The tickets for the section we sat in were selling for $1,000 a pop. No way I would've gotten to go to a game otherwise. Unfortunately (thanks to horrible calls) the Kings lost to the Blackhawks. Despite that, the game was amazing and being at the Staples Center amongst die-hard fans was an incredible experience! It would've been even better had they won at home and clenched the Western Conference and Stanley Cup Finals spot, but the Kings love Game 7s.

Everyone say a big hello to this week's featured blogger!
Jodi of Jodi Bean's Blog
I've had the pleasure of meeting Jodi in person last year, and this summer we're taking a vacation together. I can vouch first-hand for her awesomeness, so check out her blog!
I'm not one for hockey but those are great tickets! Some players are really good looking so it makes it more enjoyable to watch! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh hello Mr Carter! My friend is an ex-player and up until last week he was the manager of our cities team. He's just moved back to America to get married. May be I should continue to take an interest! :)
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about your team, but am from Tampa and it was so exciting when The Lightning won the cup in 2004. Happy watching :)
ReplyDeleteThat was a crazy game last night! Actually, a crazy series! We live in Chicago but are from MI (Red Wings fans for life) so we like to root against the Blackhawks :) Yay for a Kings win!

That sounds like so much fun! I'm not really a big sport fan, but I can always get behind a team with cute players;) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm new to your blog, but GO KINGS! I was a Kings season ticket holder until the Ducks came to the O.C. (sorry.) Fun to find a So. CA blogger!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got to go to the game. That is so fun! Good job to your dad for winning those tickets! I wish the Bruins were still in it. . . oh well I'm more into Red Sox anyways. My mom and dad went to one of the Bruins games while I was in Italy - my brother got her tickets for Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome prize-- good for your dad! Everyone is Kings crazy... even my grandma was talking about hockey last week. Wha?!?
