It's still in HOT in Southern California but I decided to fake the fall and went to two pumpkin patches this weekend. For the first one on Saturday afternoon it was 93 degrees. That's just stupid. But I couldn't resist pretending to be enjoying cooler temps...minus the boots, scarves, and seasonal Starbucks.
Sunday evening I went to the second pumpkin patch and after got ice cream since it felt like a summer night. Check out this amazing thing called a Milky Bun. It's a fresh-baked donut stuffed with ice cream and cereal (I chose the cookie butter ice cream and Cinnamon Toast Crunch). HOLY YUM!
And before I go - sale alert on the perfect plaid flannel!
For Halloween I have to dress up twice - for work and a friend's party. I already decided last month to be a scarecrow for the party, so when my department at work chose the theme storybook I knew right away I was going to be Fern from Charlotte's Web. Totally easy to repurpose pieces. The main piece? My Old Navy plaid flannel below. It's the perfect orangish-red, super comfy, and since ON has weekly sales, you never have to pay full price for it!

93?! Holy cow!!!! lololololol
OMG...same here. It was so hot all throughout October I couldn't get into fall spirit at all. We gave up and didn't even go to a pumpkin patch even though it's my favorite thing to do in October. I couldn't even fake it...we had 99 degrees for two days in a row...I wasn't ready to fake it. Nope. HAHAHAHA.
